The Internal Revenue Service Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) offers free tax help for low- to moderate-income people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Several organizations also provide free or low cost tax preparation in communities. Here are a few of those organizations:

Community Action Agencies (CAAs)
Most CAAs throughout the state provide free tax preparation for qualifying low-income residents in their service area. To locate the CAA that serves your community, please visit www.mcaaa.org.
