The Internal Revenue Service Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) offers free tax help for low- to moderate-income people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. AARP-Tax Aide and the IRS provide free tax assistance to people of all ages with middle and low-income, with special attention to those aged 60 and older. To find out about a location close to you, go to www.aarp.org/taxaide or call 1 (888) AARP NOW or 1 (888) 227-7669.
Community Action Agencies (CAAs)
